Many years ago, farmers and ranchers were somewhat neglected when it came to companies fulfilling their insurance needs. Colorado Farm Bureau recognized the need to support America's farmers and ranchers and found a way to provide the protection. In 1950, Colorado Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company (CFBMIC) was formed. Starting small, with only Auto, Homeowners and Fire policies, CFBMIC made a pledge to serve the rural market while adding value to Farm Bureau membership. Over the years, Colorado grew, as did CFBMIC. Agencies formed across the state, reaching the rural communities as well as the big cities. Additional products were added over time, including Auto, Homeowners, Life, Farm & Ranch, Country Squire, Health, Disability, Renters, Commercial, and Condo/Townhome policies. And now with over 45 offices in Colorado, CFBMIC celebrates its fiftieth year of protecting Coloradoans. Our slogan for this milestone year is, A 50 Year Foundation on Which to Build. This not only represents our solid background and years of experience, but it also illustrates that we are still striving forward, still working hard for Colorado.
