Career Education Corporation

CEC prepares students for professionally and personally rewarding careers at its 42 campuses in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates, and through AIU Online, its E-learning division. Total student population as of July 31st, 2002 exceeded 41,650. Since it was founded in 1994, CEC has progressed rapidly toward the goal of becoming the world's leading provider of quality educational services. During 2002, we expect to generate the most revenue from brick-and-mortar campuses compared to any group in the private, for-profit postsecondary education industry. At the same time, our E-learning programs are expanding rapidly -fast becoming another major growth driver for CEC. In 2001, CEC became the world's largest provider of culinary education. CEC's schools, colleges and universities offer master's, bachelor's, associate and non-degree certificate and diploma programs in four core curricula: visual communication and design technologies, information technology, business studies, and culinary arts. Our educational programs are career-oriented and provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to compete successfully in today's job market. CEC colleges enjoy long operating histories, strong name recognition and excellent reputations. The CEC family includes American InterContinental University (six campuses), the Katharine Gibbs Schools (nine campuses), the International Academy of Design & Technology (eight campuses), Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Program North America (11 campuses), and other well-known educational institutions.
