Personal Lines Account Manager – Team Lead (Mid-Market) Location: Greater Boston, MA | Hybrid (2 days in-office)


About Our Client

Our client is an established insurance brokerage with a strong personal lines practice and a collaborative, client-first culture. They are looking to add an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to their team — someone who can manage a mid-market book of business while also leading and supporting a team of five account managers.


The Role

This is a dual-function position: part technical account management, part team leadership. You'll be responsible for servicing and growing a personal lines book while guiding the day-to-day work of a small team. If you're a strong account manager who's ready to step into a leadership capacity — or already in one — this is worth a look.

This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in the Greater Boston office.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Reviewing and analyzing personal lines accounts for coverage adequacy, limits, and gaps, and making appropriate recommendations to clients
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, including direct client visits as needed
  • Preparing, servicing, and marketing new and renewal business
  • Maintaining accurate data within the agency management system (Applied Epic)
  • Leading a team of five Account Managers — providing guidance, oversight, and support as Team Lead
  • Staying current on industry changes, trends, and coverage developments
  • Conducting business with a clear understanding of both client needs and the agency's operational and financial objectives

What You Bring

  • Proven experience as a Personal Lines Account Manager, ideally with mid-market account exposure
  • Experience leading or mentoring others, or a demonstrated readiness to step into a team lead capacity
  • Proficiency with Applied Epic or a comparable agency management system
  • Strong communication and client service skills
  • Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time management habits
  • Valid insurance license
